Enhanced Commuter Convenience with Estimated Occupancy Rates for New Car Parks

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of the PARKnRIDE mobile app, now covering several new commuter car parks across key locations in the Hills and Blacktown areas connecting thousands of commuters to key Sydney, North Sydney and Parramatta CBDs. This update enhances convenience for commuters by providing estimated occupancy rates based on historical data for peak hours (weekdays from 06:15 to 09:30 am).

New Commuter Car Parks Added:

1. Blacktown Station Commuter Car Park:
   • Coverage includes both the multilevel and at-grade car parks.
   • Blacktown Station serves as a major transportation hub, offering extensive train and bus services.
2. Torrs Street Commuter Car Park:
   • Located in Baulkham Hills area.
   • Provides easy access to M2 express buses traveling to the Sydney and North Sydney CBDs.
3. Barclay Road Commuter Car Park:
   • Located in North Rocks area.
   • Also connects to M2 express buses traveling to the Sydney and North Sydney CBDs.
4. North Rocks Commuter Car Park:
   • Positioned opposite Barclay Road car park in the North Rocks area.
   • Links to M2 buses going to the city.
5. Burns T-Way Commuter Car Parks:
   • Situated on the Old Windsor Road in Kellyville
   • Offers connections to buses traveling to Parramatta and other destinations.

While these new car parks do not yet have real-time parking updates, we have collected and analysed historical occupancy information to provide estimated occupancy rates during peak hours. This feature will help commuters make informed parking decisions and find spots more efficiently.

• Convenience: Expanded coverage ensures more options for commuters, specially that some of these car parks provides an alternative to some of the car parks that gets full pretty quick in the morning during working days
• Efficiency: Estimated occupancy rates help reduce the time spent searching for parking.
